Overview

Cargills Bank PLC is hiring an Assistant Manager – IT Security for threat detection, vulnerability management and incident response. Applications close on 29 October 2026 and go by email.

Duties

  • Help run cybersecurity governance, risk and compliance (GRC) work to meet CBSL, SWIFT, PCI and internal security requirements
  • Monitor, respond to and detect threats daily using SIEM/SOC tools
  • Manage daily Identity and Access Management (IAM), including periodic access reviews for privileged and critical systems
  • Run daily vulnerability management and keep patch compliance high across servers, endpoints and infrastructure
  • Conduct and coordinate periodic Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) across web applications, mobile apps, APIs and networks
  • Review and approve firewall rule change requests against network security policy and least-privilege principles
  • Help assess the security of third-party vendors before onboarding
  • Track internal and external security audits and make sure findings close on time
  • Compile data for security posture reports and track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, cybersecurity, computer science or a related IT field
  • At least 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in IT security operations; banking or financial services experience is a distinct advantage
  • Expertise in security monitoring, threat detection and incident response (SOC/SIEM)
  • Hands-on or working knowledge of major NGFW platforms such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate and Check Point
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity GRC frameworks, vulnerability management, security testing and patch management
  • Practical experience in IAM and privileged access control
  • Understanding of third-party and vendor security risk management
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CCNP, PCNSA/PCNSE, NSE5 or above, OSCP or CEH, or working towards CISA/CISM/CISSP, are highly advantageous
