Overview

Union Bank of Colombo PLC is hiring a Senior / Executive Officer for Outsourcing Management. The role monitors the bank’s outsourcing arrangements against its Outsourcing Policy and regulatory requirements. Applications close on 30 October 2026 through the Union Bank Job Portal.

Duties

  • Coordinate and maintain the outsourcing governance framework and outsourcing register
  • Monitor all outsourcing arrangements for compliance with the Outsourcing Policy and regulatory requirements
  • Run the activities of the Outsourcing Management Committee (OMC), including meeting papers, minutes and follow-up of action items
  • Carry out due diligence reviews on prospective and existing service providers, covering financial, operational, legal, compliance and reputational checks
  • Keep records of outsourcing agreements, risk assessments, Board approvals, due diligence reports and review reports
  • Track contract expiry and renewal dates, service level performance and vendor compliance
  • Coordinate periodic reviews with business units and make sure review reports are submitted on time
  • Monitor concentration risk, service provider performance, complaints and outsourcing-related incidents
  • Assist with CBSL reporting on outsourced business operations
  • Coordinate with Risk, Compliance, Information Security, Legal, Procurement, Finance and Internal Audit
  • Support outsourcing risk management, business continuity, subcontracting and cross-border outsourcing requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Law, Risk Management, Information Technology or a related area
  • At least 2 to 3 years of experience in Banking Operations, Risk Management, Compliance, Vendor Management, Procurement, Internal Control, Process Management or a related function
  • Sound understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements and risk management principles
  • Knowledge of outsourcing, vendor management, procurement and operational risk management is a distinct advantage
  • Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage several assignments independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
