Overview
The Coconut Research Institute in Lunuwila is recruiting one Internal Auditor in the Middle Management Service (MM 1-2). External and internal candidates can apply. Applications close on 16 November 2026.
Position
- Post: Internal Auditor (1 vacancy)
- Service: Middle Management Service, MM 1-2
- Salary: Rs. 94,170 with 10 increments of Rs. 2,480 and 15 of Rs. 3,450, reaching Rs. 170,720
- Age: 22 to 45 on the closing date. The upper limit does not apply to internal applicants.
Under Management Services Circular 1/2025 the Rs. 94,170 starting salary applies from 1 January 2027. Until then the pay is Rs. 83,803 under Annex II of the circular, effective from 1 January 2026.
Qualifications
External applicants
- Intermediate level of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or the ACCA, or a 4-year Honours degree in management or commerce.
- At least 3 years of experience after qualifying, in a government department, institution or board, or a recognised private institution, in auditing and cost accounting.
Internal applicants
- At least 5 years of satisfactory service in Junior Management Grade I in a relevant field.
Knowledge of computerised accounting counts as an added qualification.
General conditions
- Sri Lankan citizen, physically and mentally fit.
- Willing to serve anywhere in the island.
