Overview

Cargills Bank PLC is hiring an Assistant Manager / Executive (IT) for Application Developments at its Colombo 03 head office. Applications close on 19 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with business leaders and product owners to gather and clarify requirements.
  • Draw technical diagrams for system architecture and data flows.
  • Take part in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Apply security practices and run regular code reviews.
  • Support users who report technical issues.

Experience and qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years in a similar role, preferably in banking or finance.
  • Expert skills in one of two stacks: .NET with WSO2 Enterprise Integrator (.NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET Core), or Java with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
  • System architecture and Web API development (REST and SOAP).
  • Knowledge of RDBMS platforms including Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Familiarity with Risk, Audit and Compliance functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
