Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for managing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing key insights to support our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

 

As an Accountant, you will be integral to our finance team. Your primary duties will include:

  • Financial Management: Manage and oversee all daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Accounts Management: Efficiently manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles.
  • Payroll Processing: Process company payroll accurately and on time, while maintaining confidential employee records.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all Sri Lankan tax regulations and other statutory government filings.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Strategic Insights: Provide timely financial reports and data-driven insights to senior management to aid in strategic decision-making.

 

Qualifications & Skills

 

We are looking for a candidate who meets the following criteria:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Fully qualified in CIMA or CA Sri Lanka is essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience working as an Accountant. Previous experience within the construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong and thorough knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on proficiency with modern accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
