Overview
EL TORO Roofing Products Limited is hiring an Accounts Assistant for the Finance team at its Chilaw factory. The notice asks for a male candidate. Applications are due within 7 days of the advertisement.
Key responsibilities
- Process payments on time, following set procedures and approvals.
- Maintain petty cash floats and advances, with documents and timely settlement.
- Give operational support and cover across functional areas as needed.
- Help monitor operational expenses and apply cost control measures.
- Handle and reconcile proceeds from factory scrap sales.
- Manage factory cash advances, disbursements and settlements.
- Follow internal controls, procedures and approval requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate month-end reports within deadlines.
- Follow up and clear pending invoices with the relevant departments.
- Run physical stock verifications and reconcile discrepancies.
- Good computer literacy, MS Office and email skills. ERP knowledge is essential.
Qualifications and experience
- A/L in the Commerce stream.
- Full AAT qualification. Part qualification in CA, CIMA or ACCA is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, including work in an ERP system.
Location
The factory is at Anawilundawa, Chilaw. People living in Chilaw or nearby, or willing to board there, are encouraged to apply. Pay follows industry standards based on qualifications and experience. The notice gives no amount.
