Head of Manufacturing Facilities | Central Industries PLC

Central Industries PLC is a trusted leader in the manufacturing and distribution of premium uPVC and PE products, alongside high-quality electrical switches and accessories. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Head of Manufacturing Facilities to lead our operations in the Gampaha District.

Role Overview

This senior leadership position provides end-to-end operational oversight for multiple manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will be operationally strong, commercially conscious, and capable of translating manufacturing strategies into consistent productivity, quality, and cost outcomes to support our rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Provide overall leadership and accountability for manufacturing operations across all facilities.

  • Performance Optimization: Drive productivity, quality, cost efficiency, delivery performance, and safety standards.

  • Process Standardization: Standardize manufacturing processes, systems, KPIs, and operating discipline across sites.

  • Strategic Planning: Translate business objectives into effective production and capacity plans.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure full compliance with statutory, quality, ISO, and Health & Safety requirements.

  • Team Development: Build and develop strong plant leadership teams and succession capability.

  • Asset Management: Oversee maintenance strategy to ensure asset reliability and minimal downtime.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage manufacturing budgets and drive cost-control initiatives.

  • Expansion Support: Support plant expansions, new line commissioning, and operational scale-ups.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing operations with proven exposure to multi-site or large-scale plant management.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving productivity improvement, cost control, and operational excellence.

  • Technical Knowledge: Sound knowledge of manufacturing systems, maintenance management, quality standards, and ISO requirements.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven capability in managing and developing large, diverse shop-floor and management teams.

  • Execution Focus: A hands-on leader with the ability to translate high-level strategy into tangible results.
