Overview
Arpico Insurance PLC, a Richard Pieris Group company and one of the top 10 life insurers in Sri Lanka, is hiring an Intern for its Risk and Compliance Department. Applications must be sent within 7 days of the advertisement.
The role gives hands-on exposure to risk management, corporate governance and regulatory compliance in the insurance industry.
Key responsibilities
- Help categorise customer risk using set assessment criteria and internal guidelines.
- Write clear reasons for each customer risk classification.
- Review customer information for risk indicators, discrepancies and missing documents.
- Maintain compliance registers, monitoring trackers and customer risk assessment records.
- Help prepare compliance reports and presentations.
- Support AML/CFT activities, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews.
- Coordinate with other departments and follow up on pending requirements.
- Give general administrative and operational support to the department.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Organisation and time management.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Interest in risk management, compliance and financial services.
