Overview
People’s Bank is hiring a Project Manager to plan, run and deliver technology projects on time, within scope and budget, while meeting quality, risk and compliance standards. The appointment is on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedules, resources and milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with vendors
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies
- Give regular status updates and reports, and keep governance documentation
- Meet PMO, regulatory and audit requirements
Eligibility
- Citizen of Sri Lanka
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field from a university or a degree-awarding institution recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka
- An internationally recognized Project Management certification
- 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in banking or financial services
- Experience in digital, payments or regulatory projects
- Strong knowledge of agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies
- Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, risks and multiple priorities
- Age preferably below 45 as at the closing date
Terms
The position is in the non-banking stream, equivalent to the grade of Deputy Manager (3-II). Performance is evaluated annually. The bank offers a negotiable remuneration package based on qualifications and experience. Shortlisted applicants will be called for an interview.
