Overview
Cargills (Ceylon) PLC is recruiting for four full-time posts at its Ratnapura area outlets: Cashier, Service Assistant, Trainee Cook and Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. Walk-in interviews run on 19 and 20 October 2026.
Salary
Rs 55,000 a month. That is a Rs 30,000 base plus incentive, overtime and attendance allowances.
The posts
- Cashier: collect payments from customers and issue bills
- Service Assistant: support the sales floor
- Trainee Cook: help with food preparation
- Trainee Pharmacy Assistant: help with pharmacy operations
Eligibility
- Age between 18 and 50
- Education completed up to GCE Ordinary Level or Advanced Level
- No experience is needed for the cashier, service assistant and pharmacy assistant posts. The trainee cook ad lists 1 year of experience
Walk-in interviews
19 and 20 October 2026, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at one of these venues:
- Embilipitiya Mahaweli Buddhi Mandapaya (D.A. Rajapaksa Memorial Conference Hall)
- Cargills Food City in Udawalawa, Pelmadulla or Ratnapura (near the bus stand, outer circular road)
Bring to the first interview
- CV and National Identity Card
- Grama Niladhari certificate and police certificate
- A recent character certificate and your birth certificate
- Two copies of your bank account details. Minor and joint accounts are not accepted
- Two passport-size photos with a white background
An education certificate is not needed at the first interview.
