Overview

DFCC Bank PLC is hiring a Network Security Engineer for its IT Department. The role covers the bank’s firewalls, VPNs and F5 security solutions in a 24×7 banking infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Check Point and Cisco firewalls and F5 security solutions
  • Configure firewall policies, VPNs, NAT, WAF and load balancing services
  • Monitor, analyze and respond to network security threats and incidents
  • Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation and high-availability solutions
  • Support secure connectivity across applications, data centers, branches and third-party networks
  • Troubleshoot network and security issues while keeping services running
  • Work with cross-functional IT and Cyber Security teams
  • Maintain documentation and support audits, compliance requirements and disaster recovery activities
  • Keep up with new cyber threats and network security practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in network security engineering, preferably in banking or financial services
  • Professional certifications such as Check Point, Cisco CCNA/CCNP Security, F5, Fortinet, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of network security technologies, firewall administration and WAF policy management
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network security issues and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork skills
  • A habit of spotting security risks early and recommending improvements
